I was talking to Tsukasa about this earlier, how this place really seems to be taking things from us to throw back in our faces to try and slow us down. Not sure there's anything we can do to avoid that, but it feels like it's going to get harder to ignore, too.

... it's been a little over a year since I've seen Saki-senpai's face. I can't say I appreciate seeing her like this now either.

Obikawa's been behaving himself the last few days. It feels like I just saw him at a really weird new low.

If those are the kinds of monsters out in the fog, we should probably let people know. That thing really put up a fight.

Yeah, we probably should. [ Let's get serious about this. But also holds a hand out to help him get up if he wants to? ] I wonder what it was going to do if you hadn't spotted it. I'd imagine it planned on revealing itself eventually...

Depends if it had spotted us first. In the Midnight Channel, we could bypass Shadows pretty easily if we weren't in their line of sight. It's how we ambushed them all the time to get past them and climb each floor. I don't know if it saw us first or if it only noticed us after I noticed it. I'm... not happy that it followed us for that long and then waited. It makes me wonder if it'll do the same to somebody else and just attack without warning or if it'd just observe.

I'm not familiar with the other traits that thing had, but if it targeted you and me, then it must've targeted Dahut-kun and Elysium in some way too. [ He noticed it had some other weird traits but he couldn't pick them out of a blind line-up, he doesn't know. ] Which means... it modeled itself in real time?

It was pretty specifically aimed to people important to us, presumably all four of us who were there at the time, which makes the possibility that this creature already existed extremely low, considering the number of different possible permutations with the people here. Something like a Schrodinger's Shadow? It existed, but it also didn't quite exist until we perceived it through your glasses and followed it out into the fog.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same and that's even scarier. If something like that can react so fast, there's a high chance it can attack faster.

[ there are a number of people here who can't fight as well so it's bad. ]

That's possible, too. People's Shadows didn't take on a form until they were inside the TV World, but the Shadows themselves were already there. And their dungeons were areas that kinda formed around them, too, even if the potential was always there. What worries me is how it knew which people to pick from us when we all know different people in our lives. But without knowing who or what parts belonged to Dahut and Elysium it's hard to think of a pattern.

I mean... I can't really think of a connection between Obikawa-san and Saki-senpai outside of "important." [ and even then it's difficult when saki has been gone for so long, despite being important and lingering in his life. ]

I think people are already aware to some extent, but it might be worth mentioning anyway. Be careful, especially if you sense any presences, even if you think you're alone.

And we come right back to the idea that people should stick together no matter where they're going. There's still way too much we don't know.

And we know they can bring up personal things even if you don't talk to other people about them.
